Ross Aalgaard

Ross Allen Aalgaard (DSW, University of Tennessee, 2014) is Assistant Professor of Social Work at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He also is the owner of Pax Counseling where he practices psychotherapy and offers licensure supervision. Ross has past experience in pastoral ministry, customer service, mental health, and medical social work. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern College (1986), his Master of Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary (1991), and his Master of Social Work from the College of St. Catherine/University of St. Thomas (2009).

Research Interests

His research interests include LGBT issues/concerns/community, relationships, psychotherapy, mental health (mood and anxiety disorders), spirituality (forgiveness and hope), medical social work, and health care policy.?
