My courses and personal mentoring relationships with students are grounded in my intentions to teach critical thinking and scholarly writing skills. I believe that when challenged with demanding work and high expectations, students rise to levels that they never would have believed they could. Students who have the desire to learn and the willingness to work hard will find that I will give them as much as they ask of me.
