Rebecca Jackson has been the Director of Field and International Education since 2013. She served as the MSSW Field Coordinator for the Knoxville campus from 2004 to 2013. Her roles encompass oversight of FieldEducation for BSSW and MSSW students at the College of Social Work and international initiatives and activities for students and faculty. As Director of Field Education, Rebecca works with the Field Faculty in all programs to develop curriculum for students and training programs for field instructors. She also provides oversight of the placement development process and assures compliance of the field program with accreditation standards. As Director of International Education, Rebecca works with UT students to develop opportunities for study and field abroad and works with international partner schools to bring their students to study at the College.? She also works with faculty to assist in developing faculty-led programs abroad and to identify opportunities for collaboration with international scholars. Prior to coming to the University, Rebecca worked for several years in residential services for children, adolescents and young adults. She served as a Social Worker, Centennial Project Director, and Administrator of the John Tarleton Home for Children. In addition, she served as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Helen Ross McNabb Center and taught English as a Second Language at Maryville College Center for English Language Learning.
