Research Interests

Dr. Matthew J. Cuellar received his PhD in May of 2016 from the College of Social Work at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His dissertation research investigated the effects of the school security environment on school social work practitioners in United States schools. Dr. Cuellar's current research interests are school safety, school-based violence prevention, and school social work. His secondary research interests are advanced quantitative methods and practice and program evaluation. Dr. Cuellar currently teaches foundation research, evidence-based practice, and program and practice evaluation courses in the MSSW program in the College of Social Work.
