Information for Prospective Students
The College of Social Work would like to invite anyone thinking about pursuing a Master of Science in Social Work degree to attend an Open House. College faculty, staff, and students will present information about the curriculum, field placements, the admissions process, and financial aid.
The Open House event is designed to familiarize prospective students and their families, as well as B.S.S.W. program directors and faculty with the educational opportunities that our College has to offer. It will provide an opportunity for you to see the campus, ask questions, and learn about the master's degree program in social work at the University of Tennessee. If you are considering applying for admission to the program, you are urged to attend the Open House.
Knoxville Open House Information:
The Open House will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the UT Visitors' Center (located at 2712 Neyland Drive, Knoxville, TN, 37996). Refreshments will be served beginning at 5:30 pm. he program will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude at 7:30 pm and will consist of an overview of the M.S.S.W. program, various options for pursuing the M.S.S.W, field practice, and the admissions process. A question and answer period will follow.

Nashville Open House Information:
The Open House will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009 and will be held at the Nashville campus located at 193 Polk Ave., Suite E, Room 234. The event will begin at 5:45pm and conclude at 7:00pm. The welcome, introductions and brief program overview will be given at 6:00 p.m. by Dr. Sherry Cummings, Acting Associate Dean.
