Brief Bio

Kristan Armstrong has worked in psychiatric research and clinical assessment with a particular focus in psychotic disorders for over a decade. More recently, her clinical experience was as an inpatient and outpatient social worker for a coordinated specialty care team for early psychosis patients and coordinator of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Psychotic Disorders Program. Her primary research interests include work on a NIMH funded longitudinal research study focused on investigating the clinical, cognitive, and neural changes during the early stages of psychosis. Kristan’s dissertation will focus on predictors of outcome and clinical course during the early stages of psychosis.
