Personal Statement:

Before joining the University of Tennessee, Knoxville College of Social Work in 2019, Professor Cermak worked in a variety of different cities and settings including an in-home/community-based mental health agency (Philadelphia, PA), an outpatient mental health facility (Philadelphia, PA), a number of different schools (Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY, and Nashville, TN) and in a private practice setting (Nashville, TN), supporting children, adolescents, adults and families. Professor Cermak also has been, and continues to be, a Disruptive Event Management (DEM) consultant for the greater Nashville area.
