The Social Work profession has historically encouraged international relationships and student exchange during the academic experience. In order to meet the demand of the social work profession, increased number of immigrants and refugees to the United States, and the global issues, professionals must be not only aware of disparity and difference in culture but skilled in adapting to and responding to various needs.
