Field Education

Field education is a critical component of each student’s academic program. Students in field placements work under the supervision of experienced social work professionals in a variety of settings to exercise the integration of theory, research, and practice.  Placement options include, but are not limited to, schools, courts, hospitals, nursing homes, state agencies, emergency shelters, residential programs, mental health organizations, addiction treatment centers, and many more.

A few of our field partners:

I am being exposed to the realistic imperfections, the raw dedication, and the beautiful transformation that happens within an agency and the community. It’s more than just being passionate about breaking cycles of poverty and fighting oppressive systems, but being creative and partnering with each other to find solutions!”
