Surrounded by seven lakes, three major rivers, and only 45 minutes from the nation’s most visited national park, you’ll find almost every type of outdoor activity available at your doorstep. From hiking and biking trails to boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding, Knoxville has what you need.
Field Education
Field education is a critical component of each student’s academic program. Students in field placements work under the supervision of experienced social work professionals in a variety of settings to exercise the integration of theory, research, and practice. Placement options include, but are not limited to, schools, courts, hospitals, nursing homes, state agencies, emergency shelters, residential programs, mental health organizations, addiction treatment centers, and many more.
