New Staff Spotlight- Kendra Rudder

Kendra Rudder recently joined UTCSW as the new Director of Communications and Chief Strategist. Rudder is a two-time UT alum (BS ’97, MBA ’13) and brings years of communications experience from Scripps Networks, overseeing the media strategy for all six of their cable television brands, including HGTV and Food Network.

In addition to managing the communications team and budget, Rudder will work closely with the dean and UTCSW leadership to operationalize and manage the outcomes of the strategic plan. She will be accountable for bringing the college’s vision and mission to the forefront, and will plan, coordinate, and execute integrated marketing and communication plans and strategies.

“I am really excited to be back at my alma mater in a communications role that will have a direct impact on the success of the College of Social Work,” Rudder said. “I look forward to tapping into my experience from Scripps and leveraging it in a way that helps raise the profile of the college so others can see the amazing work being done both within and outside these walls.”
